Jacques Asscher



Jacques Asscher is specialized in the field of environment law.  He handles all environmental issues in the industrial sector, renewable energy sources, REACH, RoHS and WEEE.

He is more particularly reputed for his expertise in the area of environmental due diligence and audits within the scope of Mergers & Acquisitions and stock exchange quotations and for regulatory audits.

He is a graduate of the University Jean Moulin, Lyons III (Master of law degree in International law and Political sciences, post graduate studies in European law).

He is member of the Paris Bar since 1994.

Jacques Asscher is since a number of years recommended by Who’s Who Legal and the Expert Guides of the Legal Media Group.

He has previously worked for an English law firm (Theodore Goddard), a Dutch law firm (Nauta Dutilh) and for the last ten years until December 2008 at Huglo Lepage & Associés.

Jacques Asscher is also active in the training of his fellow lawyers. Until 2007 he lectured at the EFB (Bar school) and, since 2006, organises professional training sessions for colleagues.

Since 2009, he lectures at the University of Aix-en-Provence within the scope of the newly set up Master II in International and European environment law.

He regularly speaks at conferences and seminars, be it at national or international level.
