Jean-Marcel Nataf

Jean-Marcel Nataf specializes in public/administrative law and publishing law.

He has developed particular expertise in advising and litigating matters related to government contracts (public calls for tender, outsourcing of public services, public-private partnerships, etc.), environmental and urbanism law (urban planning law, Urban Master Plans, construction permits, etc.) and expropriations.

He works both on behalf of local governments, in particular on public infrastructure projects, and on behalf of private companies and investors. He also performs due diligence on administrative law issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

He is recognized for his knowledge in those areas, as well as in publishing law (defamation, outrageous and injurious statements, image rights, right of reply, etc.), in which he has contributed to the development of case law on the subject of public defamation via the Internet.

He graduated from the University of Paris II (Master of Public Law, DEA in Internal Public Law – specialization in economic public law, DESS in Real Estate and Construction Law), where he conducted tutorial sessions in administrative law and constitutional law for several years.

He is a member of the Paris Bar since 2002.

Before joining Bersay & Associés as Of Counsel in September 2010, Jean-Marcel Nataf ran his own firm since 2008 and previously worked for 5 years in the public economic law department at Ayache, Salama & Associés (2002-2007).
